Rafferty was born on 08/09/2001 in Ashurst in the New Forest in Hampshire.

He was bred by Reg and Sue Harrison (Sumaha).

Rafferty was the last one to be picked from a litter of 10. He was brought as a pet. At 8 months old we went to a local fun dog show - he came 1st in the Handsomest Dog out of 20 entries we were bitten by the bug. Although a late starter only having 1 open show in Puppy, Rafferty has had some good results in the show ring. He has been placed at Championship Shows and attained Gundog Group placings at Open Shows. He has been a great companion learning the ropes in the ring and above all he just loves showing off!! and making the crowd laugh!!. At home he likes to chew his bed and try to escape......

13th August 2008 Rafferty gained his stud book number with 2nd in Limit Dog under Brian Izzard (Bryshot) at The United Retriever Club Championship Show. I was so very proud of him he showed his socks off for me.
